Featured Lady Profile Writer
Michele Cerza has profiled more than 50 entrepreneurs for Ladies Who Launch since 2004. She has also worked as a news producer and writer for CBS-TV and NBC-TV affiliates in Iowa, Denver and San Francisco, and has been published in The Palm Beach Post. She is a graduate of Northwestern's Medill School of Journalism.
Favorite Success Story: Katherine Graham, former president and chairman of The Washington Post Co., former publisher of The Washington Post.
With little business experience, Graham took the reigns of her family's business after the death of her husband, who was the previous publisher of The Washington Post. She has been credited with greatly expanding the influence and power of the Post during her tenure and making world-changing decisions such as allowing the Post's journalists to pursue the Watergate break-in, which led to the resignation of President Richard Nixon.

Amy brings a seasoned and in depth knowledge of fashion, beauty, lifestyle
and consumer products to her work as a copywriter and brand strategist. She
is a specialist at connecting with consumers through words and ideas, and is
a highly regarded creator of both internal and external communications.
Brands such as Bath & Body Works, Nuala by Puma, Concord Watchs, Ralph
Lauren and Liz Lange are among many that have been articulated or
repositioned by Ms Swift. Her work as a ghost writer for a number of
personalities including Dr. Phil and Cindy Crawford puts her in a niche
category, and illustrates her capacity to get inside subjects and craft
effective stories and voices on their behalf. Amy began her career in the
newsroom and publishing divisions of CNN in Atlanta and in marketing and
advertising for Turner Pictures in Los Angeles. In 1997 Swift joined forces
with model and entrepreneur, Christy Turlington, launching Nuala by Puma, a
successful line of yoga clothing, as well as Sundari, an luxury Ayurvedic
skin care line. Ms. Swift was a contributing editor to Contents Magazine, a
pop culture publication devoted to celebrity profiles. Her published work
can also be found in New York Magazine, One World and Cooleh. She is a
graduate of The Bechtel International School at the University of the
Pacific.
My favorite launch story: I love Helen Gurley Brown's story and her rise to run Cosmopolitain
Magazine. She was a visionary in talking to women about themselves in ways
they had never heard. She took risks, was a lady and sort of a tramp at the
same time, and had a unique voice and influence over feminine culture.

Launching Spotlight Writer
After dabbling in Law, PR, and Marketing, Susie has decided she doesn't need a leather chair, a corner office, or a company car. She just wants to work with words. Words are her friends…and with friends like these, who needs amenities? Now, armed with a laptop and a latte, Susie writes newsletters, articles, ad copy, web sites, brochures and, her favorite assignment, the weekly Launching Spotlight!
Favorite Success Story: As a writer and a woman, I will always be grateful to The Unsinkable Molly Ivins. In every column, Molly gleefully unleashed her passionate opinions on "fools" and "nincompoops" with the brash insouciance of a Katherine Hepburn pants suit and earned well deserved respect for her expert wordsmithing, intelligent arguments, and wicked sense of humor. "Keep fightin' for freedom and justice," she railed, but don't you forget to have fun doin' it!"
